The day I took a photo with David Choi

Hello!!

Before I proceed with more gibberish ... nonsense ... and something that I could only understand, let me introduce to you, my dear blog.. (yes, I am talking to a lifeless blog not to a person because I don't think anyone read whatever crap that I am writing - I have not read and write as much, be prepared with grammatical errors - grammar Nazi, brace yourself).

That's David Choi. He's a singer, song writer, producer and a You Tuber! My  favorite You Tuber - love it when he plays the violin, I'm weird like that. (OK OK I like Wong Fu Production, Jubilee Project, Kina Grannis, Ryan Higa, Boyce Avenue, Sam Tsui, Sean Fujiyoshi, Michelle Phan, Head to Toe, The Ming Thing, Jinny BoyTV, Dan Khoo Productions and Munah Hirzi .. too!)

Yes, I live and breath You Tube video whenever I am on leave be it weekend or looooooooooooong leave (coz I stay at home most of the time) or when I  need to distract myself when I am sad and depressed. You Tube is an outlet for me to just chill and laugh my sadness away.

Watching all these Asian American especially Wong Fu Productions and Ryan Higa is the best remedy for a sad soul (i.e ME!). Anyway, I happened to stumble upon this dude while watching this particular Wong Fu video eons ago (I hardly have the time to log in to You Tube these days), which is ... *logging to You Tube, scrolling.. waittt..waitt...waittt for ittt...*

"Plus, he got Ebola" - my favorite line ever!!

Back to School Tips video with Far East Movement!!! (produced by Wong Fu Production). He look so young. From there, I checked out his channel and I am hooked to his music because his lyrics is something that I can totally relate to (myself, of course). I am talking about his original songs and not all the covers that he'd done (I never view any of his covers actually..not just him but all the You Tube artist, I never view their cover, I am all about their original songs baby!!).

Anyway, I can't believe how fast time flies. David is releasing his fourth album on 17 February 2015 and after listening to his first single from the album (The Stories of You's and Me), All I Need, he sound a bit depressing (based on All I Need, bear in mind the whole album is not being released yet) but it is still something that I love to hear repeatedly (which is why I ended up buying his physical album, something that I don't do AT ALL, I am breaking my own rules here. My rule is, if you can listen to it on You Tube, just put it on repeat and listen lah). The first song that got me hook when I first started listening to this guy is That Girl (and I still love the song til now, I even blog about the dude and the song way back in 2011.)

Man.. can't believe that he has gone a loooooooooooooong way from Won't Even Start (my favorite song!) to deep and dark - All I Need. Ohh and ohhh.. Check out his colloboration with Maudy Ayunda. Never thought that this dude will be singing in Bahasa Indonesia (which he sings perfectly) for By My Side (one of his song as well..). Go and listen to By My Side (Indon version) and you will go ... Aaaawww. Trust me.. you will.

I have embed this song (David's version and produced by Wong Fu Productions) some time in 2011 but this is way cuter ;P

I actually can't believe my luck that Sunday (where I decided to just go and watch him perform at the farthest part of Kuching but since this may be my one and only chance to watch him perform LIVE) night after a free concert organized by IM4U (for the first time ever in East Malaysia - Kuching & Kota Kinabalu), I am able to talk to him and asked him if I could take a photo with him which he replied, "sure, of course."

Hence, the blur photo that you see at the beginning of the post.

It feel surreal.

David, I know you will not read this .. but if you stumble upon this boring blog post, I want to wish you all the best in life and I hope 2015 will go easy on you.
