Universal Studio Singapore (by MRT from Kranji)

Alright. Let's continue. What's the use of coming to Singapore if not going to USS. OK fine, the whole Sentosa is a cool place but I only root for USS. So, here's how you go to USS via MRT from Kranji.

Erks..if I remember la how to get to the place. Three (3) month is a looooooooong time for my rusty memory. Alright...here goes nothing.

First step, go to Kranji MRT Station. This is Kranji MRT Station.

rs

When you reach Kranji, you will see this signage. Follow the arrow. Senang saja kannnn..

Then, you will see ...

rs

this..if this is your first time, go to the passenger service and they will gladly explain the route that you  need to take and how much it cost.

rs

Second step, buy a ticket to Harbour Front.  Do not buy a return ticket if you wish to explore the Lion City after USS. One way ticket cost SGD2.70.

This is Kranji MRT Station. Once you have paid for your ticket at the ticketing machine, head to Jurong East's (North South Train - Red Line) side of the train. If you are familiar with KL LRT / Monorail services, you will have no difficulty in understanding the route. It's simpler than KL.

If you see this, you are on the right track. Now, sit and wait for MRT. Don't worry if you missed the earlier train..because..

rs

you won't have to wait forever for the next MRT.

rs

Got the map for the lady at the passenger counter and that is our ticket to Harbour Front.

Third step, alight the train at Outram Park and go to Harbour Front (purple line).

rs

You have now reach your destination. Harbour Front! Congrats. You are almost almost almost almost there (USS).  The station is connected to Vivo City (macam KLCC LRT station maaa).

rs

The ticketing machine at Harbour Front.

rs

Alright. You are now at Vivo  City. Fourth step, go to Vivo City Level 3 and take the monorail. Monorail ticket cost SG4, for the whole day. Up down in out use lar that ticket. No extra charges. You can also use Sentosa Boardwalk but I didn't because, I oso dono why lar ho.. hahahha.

rs

Fifth step, go to Sentosa Station (Level 3, Vivo City) and take a train to Waterfront Station. In the next 4 minutes (or so) you will reach USS.

rs

Almost. Any minute now.

rs

Hooray!! Go down and walk for a bit and... you will see..

rs

the uber famous USS globe! This is on a weekday so visitors are arek-arek unlike the weekend, i think you need to wait for hours to get a photo here, I mean..of course you want to take a photo at this revolving globe and wait for UNIVERSAL "word" in full. So you can take your time and click click here.

So, let's recap:

(1) Go to Kranji MRT.
(2) Buy ticket to Harbourfront
(3) Alight train at Outram Park
(4) Reach Harbourfront
(5) Go to Vivo City Level 3
(6) Buy monorail ticket to Waterfront Station

OK, settle. Easy peasy.

Now, you are ready for some fun!

How to get to Singapore by bus from Johor Bahru (tips from a cheapskate)

Hellewww..

Can't believe it's been 2 month after my trip and I haven't got the chance to document it here. Ya lar, for future reference.

Where should I start?

Let's see if my brain can remember how to get to the place.

Alright..let's start from JB CIQ.

 JB SENTRAL

rs

This is JB Sentral. Walk up a bit then you will see JB CIQ. Get your Gardenia and Roti Boy fix here and bring it to Singapore if you don't feel like buying foods from the island. I am a pokkai Malaysian, so must eat cheap foods to curb hunger..gitewwww.

rs

Ha! JB Sentral. Not to be mistaken with Larkin Bus Terminal and CIQ 2. This is CIQ 1. You are going to Singapore via Woodland. CIQ 2 go Singapore too but via Tuas or something. Don't ask la, I don't know laaa.

Tips: If you want to save on lodging, stay in JB. At least you are spending the weakening Ringgit (I see no humor in this but this is the truth haiyahhhhhhh I want to cry when I go to the money changer) instead of paying everything times by 2.58 (September 2014) for a cheap hotel in Singapore. Money is hard to come by, be cokot (cheapskate).

PLACE(S) TO STAY
I'm staying at Amansari City Centre which is ..ermm..like 5 minutes walk to JB Sentral. Tips: If you are planning to go to Singapore by bus, look for a hotel located near JB Sentral, within walking distance as you would not want to spend moolah on taxi.

JB CIQ
OK, now that you know how JB Sentral look like, next step is to go to CIQ at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (not to be mistaken with the one in Kuching. This one is your passage to Singapore. Hahahaa)

rs

If you see this sign, then you are on the right track. Congrats. You are on your way to Singapore. No, you have not reach Woodlands yet but you are on your way to Woodlands. So close yet so far.

Next, you gotta walk and walk and walk...til u see the counter and show the officer your passport la. Then go down the stairs..and...wait for a bus.

The CIQ is the opposite building. This is Dewan Utama JB Sentral. Walk straight, cross the road and voila! CIQ.

rs

OK. I can't take photo at the CIQ itself, so now, next step is to go to the counter and had your passport checked. Usually the just open it and look at it only. Now, that you are done, you will see a stair, it says Platform A and Platform B. Go to Platform A. My instinct says so, just follow lar. Here, queue up for the bus. Different lines cater for different bus company.

If you see this signage, then you are on the right track.

Choose the smiley bus (you can choose other bus too, but that's the bus that I am familiar with). Oh, it's called Causeway Link (as long you see a yellow bus and it's smiling, then just naik saja lar).

rs

Don't be surprise. This is what you will see at 7:30am. So for those of you who wants to go over the weekend and wanted to save on money, please don't.This is still JB CIQ.

BUS(ES)

From here if you want to go to:

(a) Kranji (take CW1 if you are taking Causeway Link, the smiley bus or any other bus - just look for Kranji, senang cerita).

(b) Queens Street (take CW2 or any other bus that heading to the same route)

But first, you will stop at Woodlands CIQ / Checkpoint to get your passport stamped.

rs

That, my friend is where you gonna get your passport stamped.

Here, you must fill up the white card or something. Can't remember what it is called. After that, board the same bus (same bus number). KEEP THE TICKET because you need to show it to the bus driver, the bus won't wait but you can take another bus from the same company without paying again. So, it is important that you keep the ticket.

rs

Bear in mind that this is a WEEKDAY, WORKING DAY. And we managed to get into the bus after waiting for almost 1 and half hour. Think twice if you just want to spend your weekend in Singapore via land transport because you are actually pressed for time. And those outside is still waiting for the bus. This is Woodlands CIQ. You are actually in Singapore soil sudah.

Since I am heading to Sentosa Island, I am using CW1 - Kranji MRT Station (this I will explain in another post. Hopefully before the year END which is in about 2 days).

So, guys, girls, nenek, makcik, pakcik, datuk, abang, kakak, adik manis, that is how you get to Singapore by land.

okthxbye!

Legoland Malaysia.

Aloha!

It's been a while and so much have happened in the past months. It's a major turn around for me since June but that's another story for another day.

Anyway, let me share with you my dear electronic journal, my take on Legoland Malaysia. I always love looking at cute Lego figurines especially The Simpsons collection (fyi I don't collect them, I just look at them at Toys R Us or any other toy shops in town) and after spending the day before at Universal Studio Singapore (as a benchmark for theme park in the region), my expectation IS (at that time) extremely HIGH.

Can you imagine my expectation for the FIRST Legoland in Asia after all the hype? The most anticipated Lego based Theme Park plus the adverts are kinda drawing you to the place and all... Anyway..it's a letdown. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED. That RM140 (Combo Water & Theme Park purchased online) is totally wasted (friggin' ridiculous for a so-so amusement park) .  BUT if you have your children with you and they love Lego, maybe.. just maybe this is the place to be. As for me, let's just say that there will not be a second visit if I have to pay from my own pocket.

GETTING THERE
For those who are eager to check the place out and you are from outside of Johor (like yours truly), you can go to Legoland by bus, LM1 if you are from JB Sentral OR JPO 2 if you are rooting to CIQ 2nd Link and do check Causeway Link *click* website for their schedule and fare. The fare is RM4.50 (one way from JB Sentral) and since the route to Legoland Malaysia which is located at Nusajaya is not congested at all (I kid you not - during weekdays), you will reach the place 30 - 45 minutes from JB Sentral (because the bus stops at Larkin - Hello Kitty Town - Legoland - Gelang Patah).

If you are lucky, the bus will stop you at Legoland bus stop which require you to walk farther in (but you know you are at the right place when you see the figurine photo on the bust stop board). But since it's just the three of us going to Legoland that morning, our stop is at Mall of Medina. Mind you, there is no Legoland entrance sign. When you reach there, you will see Legoland Hotel but not the uber famous Legoland entrance. YOU NEED TO ASK THE GUARD AT MALL OF MEDINA (can't remember the exact name). You basically have to enter Mall of Medina which houses mostly fast food restaurant such as Gloria Jean's,  Chicken Rice Shop among others.

For those who are driving, you may be at lost since there is no signage telling you it's Legoland or bla bla bla.

MY TAKE
Anyway, I don't like the place at all, both Theme and Water Park (will only visit the place for the second time if someone is willing to pay for my entrance fee but trust me, it's not worth your money UNLESS you wanted to buy all the Lego collectibles, it's only good for collectors). I mean, upon entering the place it feels like you are in a library or something. A theme park is not supposed to be quite (even though it's a weekday and visitors are rather low in number). Pump up your stereo lar pok!

They claimed that the Water Park is the largest water park (of all existing Legoland) and they only have slides (of course of different variant but still.. slides? common mannnn), not so large pool (supposed to be wave pool or something but since it's not operating that day, it became a normal pool which is you can just laze around (the highest depth is 1.4m) , kiddy areas (I refer it as kiddy are because it's literally for kids and us adult just play around lar since we already paid a "handsome" amount to "splash" ourselves. Oh, oh... before I forget, the locker at the Water Park sucks! Sucks BIG time. You have to pay RM20 (for a small locker) and RM40 (for a BIG locker) for the whole day BUT it kept on "not recognizing your prints". Yeap, you read it correctly, you need to scan you finger (finger, not fingers) to rent and reopen the locker or you may use pin numbers but it kinda suck too. It's a hassle when you are paying for the friggin' technology and it failed on you. And.. you have to wait for the staff to take the key and waste your time telling them you did rent the locker and it could not be reopened. Haiyaaaa!

Overall, I am RM140 poorer and unsatisfied. You could have done better! For such an expensive fee, why do we need to pay extra for body dryer and games? Booo factor numero uno.

Anyhooo, it's all in the past. So let's just sit back and let me upload all the photo. Weee hooo!

WORTH CHECKING OUT
Although I am disappointed with the parks (both Theme and Water) but I think here are some of the section worth checking:

(a) Adventure Land - It's a ride where you embarked on a "journey" into a cave of some sort ...well, your boat have to "climb" the "mountain" and later on it will slide down in a fast motion and you will get splashed. You will get wet. Body dryer is provided but you have to pay RM10 to use it. Boooo!

The only rides that I feel worth checking out. You will get wet and do not use the body dryer if you are a cheapskate like me, you need to pay RM10 to use that damn thing. Gosh!

(b) Mini Land - Well, this is the reason I wanted to go to Legoland Malaysia. I thought I would be amused but I ended up feeling meh. But still..OK la..

Phone was running out of juice and damn the place is super hot. Warm. Panas.

It is very quiet and I feel as if I'm in a library with no aircond on. I have few photos but mannn  uploading takes forever.

(c) Entrance , Brick Shop or any other shop that sells Lego collections - Well.. if you are a collector and a big fan of Lego bricks, this is the place for you. You may never want to go home. Ha ha ha as for me I did not buy anything since I'm already poorer by RM140, so I ended up looking around.

RS
The uber famous entrance. It look grand on their website and all. This is taken with my Note 2. I got no camera baby!

And as for the Water Park entrance, you can look for it on their website.

We are entitled for our own opinion and mine is slanting towards no, I don't like this place at all. Upon entering, it's super quiet and you barely hear any sound. Was it because of working days and the visitors are much less? We are a paying visitors too and we are entitled to some fun hey!

Should have use that RM140 for something more rewarding. Another trip to USS perhaps? Ha ha ha. And I think the entry fee should only cause RM50 or less.

Dr. Jart+ Pore Medic Recover Primer.

I have heard of face primer before but I never give it any thought until someone told me that it makes your make-up lasts for hours. Good when you are attending a dinner (which I don't go for that much compared to the first year I started working)! They said la. Still, I don't feel like exploring since money is something that I need to keep and not use as often as I like. Makes sense or not?

Anyway, my first encounter was with The Balm Face Primer which I do not buy because I could not afford a 30ml tube that cost RM99. Siao ah!! How many month can I only use? I intend to use everyday one! I want to look nice everyday lor, not just on few occasions. Enough rambling. Oh, my first face primer was Elite Paris Fantastic Face Primer (I want to write a review on this gem but I lost the photo due to memory card faulty) which I bought at Watsons.

So, what basically a face primer?

They said:

1) It helps your make - up to last longer

2) Even out your skin color (I am not sure where I get this fact, been reading too much beauty blogs these days)

3) Makes your pores invincible

4) Makes your face look super matte (hmmm..)

Thats what they say lar. But, it is true depending on your "environment" lar. If you are always outside, of course it's going to be ruined a bit la. Cannot la stay 8 hours, me think lar.

Now, I want you to meet, my second face primer (first bottle, not the first face primer ever bought)...

Tada!!! Dr. Jart+ Pore Medic Recover Primer.

I found this on SALE when I was cuci-ing mata at SaSa Plaza Merdeka. 50% off. Of course must buy one!! Actually I was browsing at the same outlet a month before. Gago-ing testing that The Balm Face Primer and the sales associate introduce me to this primer.

"This one is better than Time Balm, because The Balm is solely for cosmetic usage. This helps to ubat your face".

And it's RM10 cheaper.

*makes mental calculation and decide not to buy since I have my Elite Paris Fantastic Face Primer at that time*

So I quickly bid my goodbye and went home.

Fate or not, I soon found it on SALE. So, begins my journey of using this primer that sales associate raved so much about.

Let's meet the bottle and the box, shall we :)

Claims : Preservative - free Pore Primer, High Adhesiveness and Long Lasting.

Preservative - no add, pigment - no add, alcohol - add and oil - no add pore primer makes skin surface moist and increase adhesiveness when applied with the help of Hydraulic Acid. The ingredient Art Skin Film naturally covers fine wrinkles and spread evenly over skin, covering pores naturally. Sebum control leaves matte finish preventing oiliness in T-Zone and nose area maintaining a long lasting make up.

Directions : Apply a small amount evenly before using make up

Ingredients : Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Dimenthicone, Glycerin Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fomes Officinalls (Mushroom) Extract, Sodium Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl, Taurate Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate 80, Citrus, Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus, Aurantinum Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Pinus Sylvestris Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil.

 Content : 30ml

 Phew, so much for introduction.

Moving on! The bottle. It comes with a pump. So, the application is clean. Super like it since I can control how much I want to use (which I end up using 2 pumps per usage, so not economical for me because my face is the size of a plate, the big plate, not small one).

Very clean and medic like. Hmmm...

Oh, before we move on to the texture, here's the back of the bottle. Just in case you are wondering...

Basically its a repetition from the box. If you are the kind of throwing the box once you open it, so it's necessary to have it on the bottle itself. To remind you of the ingredients and directions? Beats me!

TEXTURE

No apology for my "old" hand. The texture is GEL based, which is good for someone with oily skin (this my opinion only hor, do don't marah me ah). It spreads nicely and evenly.

SMELLS

As you can read for yourself, the ingredients are over populated with "lime", "lemon", "citrus" so the smells kinda lingers on you once you applied it to your face. But it's not overpowering so, I am OK with it. Not COOL, but OK as in bearable.

This is how my hand looks when the gel is applied and spread evenly to the back of my hand. Suddenly the back of my hand look fairer. Like magic!!! The gel has dissolve onto my skin. Smells like lemon now. Hehehe

The back of the hand do feel smooth now.

Lastly, the end result! I usually apply the primer after I dab my trusty Oriyen Pearl Cream onto my super besar face. After that, I will slap a pinch (yes, a pinch) of ZA BB Cream and conceal whatever I want to conceal with my favorite Can Make Concealer 03 (another review for another day). But for the purpose of this post, I just apply a two-way cake from ZA (no.23).

See, how matte is the back of my hand.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS FACE PRIMER

Well, honestly this is not my go to primer if I want a lasting finish. Yes, it does work in a "cooler" environment (say, you are staying in the office and only go out for lunch). Sometimes, there's a patch on my face and nose, even worst if I am using a concealer. But, it works wonder without the BB Cream and concealer. So, I am using it sans BB Cream and concealer if I want my face to look matte and "au naturale".

It does stays up to 8 hours. Yes, it is that good! I kid you not!

As for the "no oiliness" claim. I am proud to say, yes live up to the claim provided the weather is "gloomy". For now, I am only using this if I know I am only staying in the office and not handling things outside. If I were to do my work, outside, I'll just use another primer (way cheaper than this, retail price, not SALE price) that, I will review, which I don't know when. Erkkss.

Since I love applying concealer way too much, I have skipped and stop using this primer on a daily basis. But this is still a worthy buy, to me at least and I am going to use it til the last pump. *so determined*

WHAT I HATE ABOUT THIS FACE PRIMER

Patchy face. Sometimes my face looks "dark" for no reason. It does not happen with other primer yet. Or maybe my skin is "aging" at that time and coincidentally I am using the primer? Hmm...*wonders*

WILL I REPURCHASE

No. Why you asked? The retail price is RM89.90. I am just lucky to buy this at 50% discount.

But, if any of you are interested to buy this gem, just drop by at SaSa tHe Spring or Plaza Merdeka.

P/S : Is it just me or SaSa Plaza Merdeka feels more welcoming that tHe Spring's one? Don't get me wrong, but I feel more at ease while browsing / window shopping at Plaza Merdeka's outlet. Hmmm

Dayre.

I'm on dayre most of the time. I don't know what to blog anymore. I can do a proper review on dayre as well.

Visit the link for today's rambling about shampoo. Not a review. Just a rambling. I have not been reviewing products for quite some time. It's not that I got nothing to review (which I buy with my own money and use it till the last drop), it's just that turning on a laptop is such a pain these days.

Yes, I use laptop at work but I don't look at my laptop all day at work. I have other things to deal with. So yeah, it's dayre for now.

Or better still, follow me on dayre. Hahah as if I got readers. Perasan nya!

Pegawai Tadbir Diplomatik Interview.

Hahaaa... (have realized looooooooooooooooooooong before the post but I have not attended the interview for 2 years)

After 2 years of not being called for SPA interview, I finally attended one, last Friday.

Received the email, a week before, so I only had less than 7 days to prepare. Well, I need to prepare my hair, my face, light make - up and look thin!

Wah, interview for the G but all you can think is how to look / be vain in front of the interviewer?
Less than 7 days is not an ample period where I can chuck all those information on Government initiatives, 1Malaysia, Budget 2014, GST, National Blue Ocean Strategy, Budget 2013 Theme and Thrusts, National Housing Policy, the increase of gula, bla bla bla.. to my tiny peanut size brain.

No dude, I can't read and remember all those in a limited time. Common, I have to go to work in the morning, fight my flu, completed my never ending report, layaning the customer, office politics, drama queen and all lah! How you expect me to remember what is the different between federal government, state government and local government when I have so much to concentrate on.

So, my last resort is to look good. I mean, if I can't answer the questions, might as well look cute and cuddly. Ha ha haaaaa

So my preparations are basically:

1) Eat flu med with hope that I'll be in the pinkest of health come Friday.
2) Learn how to look manageable. No bad hair day. Hair must look super nice. Super smart. Super professional.
3) Take less fattening food. I'm not skinny but I'd like to think that I am.
4) Baju. Which Baju Kurung will make look kurus.
5) Lipstick. Natural color or bold?
6) Blusher? Lightly pat or pinkish hue?
7) Use night mask. Use sheet mask. Use anything that will make my face look fresh and GLOWING.

No, I don't concentrate on eye make up because I suck at it. Super SUCK.

Anyway, I did attend SPA interview before..since 2007 and I don't even remember how many time I sit at the interview room at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (then) and being scolded for not knowing about the country and all. Of course, I failed the interview, miserably.

I'm not putting my hopes high as I'm not an active person, I don't excel in school, I don't join any curricular activities, I'm fat, I just answer whatever the interviewer asked me, he's a Dato by the way, and as the second interviewer, that sweet lady, I feel bad for not being able to answer her questions because I no nuts about HR. Ha ha hahaaaa.

But, this time around, I didn't get scolded AT ALL for not knowing things. Maybe my strategy to look cute and cuddly is working, after all!

Dabel Date : Sebuah Antologi Cerpen Cinta (Another gem I found from Lejen Press)

tulster
Dabel Date : Sebuah Antologi Cerpen Cinta

Oh, I'm not jumping into the mushy lovey dovey bandwagon just yet but a funny (literally) book that tickle your bones is a must to combat those "damn-i-hate-going-to-work-because-I-will-be-seeing-bitches!" days (which is EVERYDAY, in my case).

OK. Moving on. This book is OK. Some were funny, some were boring but it's a good read. Meaning, this is a good book when you are traveling and you are stuck at the aiport for at least 4 hours for layover. It's basically a collection of short stories which is good for people who have short attention span (like me!).

I got mine at MPH, tHe Spring (because it's the only place that carries Lejen Press & Buku Fixi books in Kuching *sad face*) and there are two sides of the book. Once you reach the end of the Part 1 (as I refer it to) you will have to turn the book around to read the second part of the book. Total pages is around hmmm.. 160++ pages.

Anyway, it's really a collection of short stories as most of the stories are two pages long ONLY. Serius, memang betul!!

I don't have a personal preferences but you will laugh (I can guarantee you that) while reading some of the stories.

So, if you are into alternative literature, give this book a try!  You may buy it online if MPH the Spring is out of stock.

Nike+ app.

Running.

I feel like running these days (literally and figuratively).

Why? (It's up to you to think if it's based on a true story OR not)

1. Queen of gossip, spreading gossip like wildfire. Generating army. Well, it works because I feel the hate YO! People stop communicating with me. I can't fucking get my work done EFFECTIVELY due to this. I hope she rot in hell.

2. Facebook update, saying she's losing friends. Let me enlighten you, my dear "ex-friends". When we work together, we can never be bestfriends. WE ARE JUST COLLEAGUE. So, take your sulky face, bad attitude, hypocrisy and leave. I don't need you in the first place. Now, it's so damn hard to work, accidentally looking at your ugly face that (figuratively) burnt my eyes and your fugly voices and fake laugh that (figuratively) burnt my ears. Childish. "Mintak Puji".

3. Whatsapp message, condemning me of doing things that I didn't do. I WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU, EVER!

Well..that pretty much summarize the need to RUN.

Due to all those negative vibes that have came rolling itself to me, I started to spend more time with my phone. It's smart but it's bulky. But, I love it nonetheless. When I first gotten my phone, I don't really explore the apps except for games, social and hmm.. that pretty much it until one day when I decided to take a peek at "health and fitness" apps.

My whole life, I hate running. I hate how it makes me gasping for air. I hate it when my heart beating very fast because of it.  I hate how the "burning sensation" feels on my legs and thigh. I just hate running. I used to play badminton. Love it but I decided to stop and leave my racquet at the back of my car, filling up the space.

Back to the app discovery. When I discovered Nike+ Running app, I downloaded it immediately and told myself,"I just delete it later".

But later never comes. It was on my phone for a month plus. And on 14 September, I decided to give it a try. So, off to Pustaka Park, I went. As expected, I was panting. Gasping for air. Cursing myself for running. My kaki hurts like hell. I don't feel like walking at all. With the help of the app (plus the songs it plays from my playlist), I managed to run 2.44KM for 30 minutes. Wahlao. That is BAD! Who take that looooooooooooooooooong for 2KM?

Of course I feel like a failure (because I already am, being told stupid at work by a 65 - year - old whom I think have not complete secondary school, or if he did, he's the epitome of orang tua bangsat yang patut diikat pada pokok dan disimbah kerengga sehingga tidak bernyawa (oh well, dark thought at the darkest hour..hmmm)).

Anyway, knowing how far I ran makes me want to run more. So, I did. I ran again on October 5th, 11th and 14th. The app makes me want to run. The app makes me feel, "I'm not a failure, persetankan orang-orang jahat yang buat kamu sakit hati untuk bekerja" and I can't wait for the clock to turn 5pm so I can get out of the office and RUN.

I can't run from the people at the office but I can run for fun. So I started keeping track of my run. 2.44KM is just a "warm up", I thought to myself. I can run more at a "normal" pace. I can run 1KM non stop if I put my mind to it and yes, I did ran 1KM without stopping although I feel like dying (this is not me being a drama queen but I do feel like I'm going to die).

So, what so good about this app?

Well, let me share my achievement (bear in mind, this is an achievement of a lazybum, don't compare it to avid runner) for October 14, 2013.

tulster

Managed to run TWICE and non-stop (When I say non-stop, it means I kept on running for the whole 3KM). How cool is that for someone who is "weak" and FAT.  This was taken from the website of  Nike+ (click!) Running App. Yes, you can sync your run from your smartphone to the website (hmm it's automatically generated once you log in, I guess. I'm no IT Geek).

I feel weak now. After running for 4 times this month. 3KM for 31 minutes. I know, this is nothing compared to some people out there but this is my blog, so let me gloat on my success OK?

And, it tells you how much calories you have burned. How's that for a free app? This app motivate me to run again and again and again. Thank you marketing genius who are behind this app, you managed to cultivate the love for running (for me lar) albeit my hatred for the sport.

And..it actually display your route and mine look like this :

That was my second run of the day.

My first run (of the day) was this :

And..it keeps track on your run (which actually motivate you to run more!) :

What I like about this app:

1. You can create your own playlist (Power Song) or you can just shuffle whatever songs you have on you phone (in this case, the app shuffles it for you and it really helps to focus on the running when you have music with you and most song on my playlist is a slow jam which explains the amount of time for me finish 1KM within 8 minutes).

2. It's free!!

3. It's really easy to use. The interface is user friendly and simple.

What I hate about this app:

1. It needs data for it to be able to record your achievement. Which means it drain the battery.

2. Sometimes the GPS sign is weak (yes, it notifies).

3. It crashed. Closed on its own.

Other than that, I don't have any complains. It works fine for me. I can't expect much from a free app but this is not a decent app, this is a great app. So for those who wants to run, what are you waiting for? DOWNLOAD THE APP now!!

You can download (Nike+)  it on iTunes (iPhone) and Google Play (Android) under the "Health and Fitness" tab for Google Play as for iTunes, since I have not been using Apple product for quite some time, I can't help you on that.

Have fun running!

Disclaimer : I'm writing this post to share my thoughts on this great app because it IS a great app and it's free =) My intention is to cultivate the running culture and help whoever read this crap to just run and have fun!

The day I discover Bloggerdroid

Which is today...

I have been doing a lot of internet related work with my phone (laptop is secondary now) and since I like to type a whole lot crap on twitter (140 characters are not enough yo!), I realised I need few hundreds or thousands of character to convey my crappy feelings to whoever or some strangers on the net.

I downloaded the official Blogger app for Android not too long ago and let's just say it don't impress me much. Either the developer is an amateur or they are not doing much research. I don't know and I don't want to find out.

Now am gonna upload a photo to this post *crossing fingers*. Here goes nothing *Bismillahirahmannirrahim*

The office had a inter-group bowling competition last two weeks. I can't see the photo now. Hopefully when the post is published, the photo will appear or else I will delete this app. Why make life so difficult?

Will share my 2 cents worth of review if the app is running up to my standard (wow, I soind like a techie now. Hmmm).

Till then, buh bye!!

The day I forgot I have few Etude House's Mask Sheets in the refrigerator.

Hellew :)

How are you, blog?

I hope you are doing OK coz my skin is not =(

Etude House was having their sales like forever ago (seems like forever, or was it really forever? hmmm) and being me, a cheapskate (self-proclaim and not too good at it) will just walk into the trap. Hahaha, no lah. When I was in KL some time in 2011, I went to Etude House at The Mines (which is in Selangor larr) and bought a 5 - packet Sheet Mask for RM12. I managed to finish it all by mid of 2012 because am a lazybum like that.

Earlier this year, I bought another set coz I'm a beauty queen like that (more like a drama queen pfft). And because they finally have 2 outlets in Kuching (yay!!).

Today am gonna blog about this Red Ginseng Mask Sheet. I dunno what it does to the skin, but whatev! Actually it restores skin strength after being damage by stress (hambek kau nyah!!), pollution, debris and weather (as stated by the packet. I'm typing word for word). Then, it claims to maintain firmness and smoothness (again, as the print says lar).

Shewww, this is the Mask Sheet. Taken straight out from the refrigerator. Yes, I love keeping them tucked away at the corner of a fridge in a container and then left them there forever til I'm hungry looking for food suddenly find food for my skin de.

Taken with camera phone. Hands are shaky hence the quality of the photo.

Ingredients!!! My chemistry back in school is meh, so I won't dwell on the ingredients hoccay.
Water, Glycerin, Panax, Ginseng Root Extract, Butylene Gycol Cyclopentasiloxane, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruti) Fruit Extract,  Alcohol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Disodium Edta, Fragrance, Squalane, Sophora, Flavescenes Root Extract, Lonicera, Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Camella Sinesis Leaf Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Leaf Extract, Ginko Biloba Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract

THE TEXTURE

I super love the texture. It's watery and absorbs very fast on the face after you remove the sheet. The downside, it's a bit runny =(

THE SHEET'S SIZE

I don't know if this is a plus point BUT it's definitely a BIG TURN OFF for me because the sheet is very "loose" and the liquid "sometimes" enter my eyes.  As you can see from the photo, it's very close to my eyes even I have adjusted it. Since it's not sticky, so I just bear with it for 20 minutes (max).

OTHER USAGE & BENEFITS

After 20 minutes of leaving it to make wonders on my face, the sheet is still damp with all the liquids, so I wrap it on my feet for 15 minutes (both feet). My feet feels fresh in the morning. A definite plus point!!

THE RESULT / EFFECT

Since it's a sheet mask, I don't expect it to make my face "glowing" or "fresh" for 30 days. The effect is very minimal but I'm happy looking at how "clean" and "fresh" my face looks when I wakes up. No regret on buying this (if it's on SALE).

THE PRICE

Being a cheapskate, RM15 for 5 packets is definitely a good bargain. There are other "flavors" in the mix, so it gives you a chance to try and see which mask suit your skin. So far, every "flavors" works well for me. I'm a happy buyer :)

THOUGHTS

Repurchase? I will not give it a second thought if it's on SALE. Meaning, I will buy it right away if the price is "within my budget".

NOTE : The review is solely based on my skin's reaction and how I feel while using the product. Result may varies. Have fun "pampering" your skin. =)
